Past Experience:

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in English. Ever since I was a young girl, English has been my favorite subject in school, and I love reading and writing in my free time. As a freelance journalist for my college paper, I fell in love with short-form writing styles and investigative interviewing. My other college literature classes allowed me to read my peers’ unpublished works and offer my opinion on writing drafts. I love sharing ideas with open-minded people, and these experiences showed me how much I value writing.

Hobbies and interests:

In my free time, I love to read. I am currently reading “Dreams of Joy” by Lisa See, and I highly recommend the book so far! I also love drawing and journaling as meditative hobbies. Literature and writing have been extremely formational and therapeutic outlets for me throughout my life, and I am always intrigued by the diverse styles and themes working within literature. 

What I hope to learn:

Throughout this internship, I hope to learn more about the world of marketing and published writing. Though I have experience with writing and creating content, I do not often publish my work. I hope to learn more about content creation and practice collaboration with the rest of the team!

Interesting fact:

A fun fact about me is that I have a Cavapoo dog named Penny and a Balinese cat named Yeti. For the most part, the two get along very well, but occasionally, they chase each other across the furniture and cause a mess!

My favorite quote is from Emily Dickinson: “Forever is composed of nows.” It’s important to remember to stay grounded in the moment, and I like to remember that every moment is important!
